CFD Vision 2030 Roadmap Progress and Technology Highlights for 2024

Abstract

This document continues a series of articles that highlight advancement along the roadmap outlined in the CFD Vision 2030 Study highlighting work published in 2023 and 2034. Key events and publications in each of the domains are identified along with the progress in TRL scales.

Key advances were made in wall modeled LES, Graphical Processing Units (GPU), multi-disciplinary design and Analysis Optimization (MDAO), and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms. Further details are described in the following progress summaries of the Roadmap domains.
